FS/FT: Marco Bass Guitars P Bass

This bass is a beautiful player. It's been my go-to bass for any coverband gigs ever since I picked it up from Marco. Yes, I'm the first and only owner of this bass.

Marco generally doesn't do P basses, but I think after getting a few requests he made a couple. It's got a great P bass sound and really kicks with flats.

Maple neck. Relic'd by Marco. 8.9lbs.

--Here's a bit of a demo video: http://youtu.be/ZcULTqeLzug
--Here's a video of me doing a solo arrangement on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LI0a0-MC2c
--Here's a link to Marco's pictures of this exact bass: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...4655241&type=3

It'll be shipped in an old SKB hardshell case which is pretty beat up and has several outer shell cracks. I'd mainly throw it in there to get rid of the case and provide safer travels.. not necessarily to offer you a case with the bass.

Marco sells these at around $1100 from his shop and I've had mine for just about 6 months now,
so let's start this off at $900 $850 shipped.

For trades, I'm wanting a US Lakland Joe Osborne 4 string bass (I'd put money with this, of course).

I believe that Marco makes his own pickups... and pickup covers. Check out the detail on the covers.

ubnomnar is correct! Marco makes his own pickups and covers. I love the sound of them.

Not sure on the weight, sorry everybody. I'm going to be getting in touch with Marco later today to get weight / measurement information, so hold tight!

I just have no access to scales or measuring tools as of now.

If you could get the scoop on pickup specs, that would be cool. I assume it's all passive?

Entirely passive, yes. I'll try to get the pup specs.. can you tell me what kind of questions that would entail?

Ceramic or Alnico magnets? Anything special about the winding? Also, I'm certain they are wired in series, but it wouldn't hurt to verify.

Just off the phone with Marco. Pickup info:
-Neodymium magnets
-Yes, wired in series and
-No, nothing special about the winding

As far as the bass measurements and specifics go, I'm really sorry guys but I'm in my college dorm room with no real access to a scale or measuring tools. Marco didn't remember anything other than this:

-Body = Alder
-Neck = Maple
-19mm string spacing at the bridge

So that's all I have for you. I'm sorry.

What's the string spacing at the nut? (sorry if it's earlier in the post, I looked but didn't see it.)

Thanks
