Up for grabs is an early 80s MIJ (SQ-series) Squier by Fender Precision Bass in
NEAR-MINT condition!! Light weight - only 8.2 lbs by my digital bathroom scale.
She’s all original as far as I can tell. I can only find a few
tiny marks on this bass! (two on the bottom edge, one on the headstock, and light scratches on the neck plate);no other scratches, dings, chips, etc. Almost zero swirling! There appears to be no yellowing of pickguard or maple neck. This closet queen looks like she never saw the light of day -- amazing condition, especially for a 30 year old bass!!
I recently bought a sweet parts bass here that has an amazing SQ neck. After realizing that all the SQ Squier hype is completely warranted, I ran across this gem and could not pass it up. However, I need to pass this onto another TBer as I only have so much room for P-style basses. Plus I’m actually afraid to take this one out because I don’t want to mess it up. It’s that nice!! And I don’t have to worry about putting the first dings on my parts bass.
She plays and sounds as good as she looks too!
