This is a late-90's fretted Godin A4 that I recently picked up in trade. I gave it a shot, but it's just not for me. I thought about having it defretted, but I think a fretless Precision (between 8-9 lbs) would be fine for my current situation. Would also do a partial trade for a gk Neo 112-ii plus cash.

Condition is near-perfect with 4 almost unnoticeable dings in a square pattern on the back that were there when I got the bass. I never noticed them until I looked it over to post this ad. The neck has some nice birdseye in the maple, rosewood was recently oiled, and it includes an extra set of phosphor bronze rounds that were played very little. The preamp works as it should.

Local deals to the Philadelphia area would be ideal. I am willing to drive up to 45 min one way to meet a committed buyer.

Asking $600 $499 shipped conus.

Four little indentations on the back are in the top right of this picture.

Nice birds-eye:

That's not the one with Synth Access (13-pin), right?

70% of tone is in your fingers. The other 30% is in your other fingers.

Hey! Been looking to upgrade from my ****** Dean acoustic bass. This isn't exactly what I had in mind but I'm curious if this puts out much sound as an acoustic?

It doesn't put out much sound as an acoustic, but I doubt your Dean does either. It's enough to play quietly at night to yourself and not bother anyone in the house, but it would never keep up with another acoustic instrument. It's about twice as thick as a solid body instrument, but not as thick as the run of the mill acoustic bass, which is nice for playability. This design, with the addition of no sound-hole makes it basically unsusceptible to feedback as well.
