This bass has a VERY clean tone. Just Incredible, did you see the videos?. You'd better be good or this bass will tell on you, lol. It sounds great passive or active, as Sekou demonstrated.

I play 70's-80's Southern Rock/blues. My main giggin' bass is my Schecter California Special Jazz.

No man. Passive. My intentions were to install an s-1 switch to avoid a preamp. Plenty of room for any pre you want to install. Sekou Bunch makes it sound incredible!! Wish I could play like him, lol.

Great bass....it was mine and it an absolute beaut. I moved up to a 5 string and had to let this go. Fit and finish are absolutely excellent. Great neck with the best maple I've seen. It was painful to let her go. Love the blackout look....I put the black pg and black beauties on her. Great looker. Reason I don't have anymore is that it needed another string. Good luck.
