FS / FT - Modulus Genesis 4 -ORANGE CRUSH!

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm not a huge "Jazz" guy and the Carvin SB4000 I just traded for does the Jazz thing close enough for my tastes. I think I really traded for this bass due to the 5A quilt top - and - quilt fingerboard! I've never seen another fingerboard that looks this good!

I guess this bass got known around here as ORANGE CRUSH. The orange (almost red) finish is astonishing!

Newer headstock design, so it can't be that old!

Bass is in CLOSE TO MINT condition, with just a few shallow fingernail scratches under the G-string from slapping. No dings, wear or real scratches. Comes in the Modulus hard case.

Has the Bart pickups and 2-band Bart preamp.

Weight - under 9 pounds (easily).

Plays and sounds incredible. Anyone looking for a great Jazz bass can't possibly be disappointed in this bass.

I keep to a semi-strict bass quota - so if I want to try something else - something has to go - so....

Trade value: $1,500
- Only interested in 4-string, fretted basses of approx. equal value.

Sell price: $1,400 shipped, paypal paid.

What she said. That is a stunner. Modulus's are FANTASTIC deals on the used market. That top is crazy! IF that were on a Les Paul or a PRS guitar, you'd be looking at a $6,000 instrument.

The fretboard on this bass is AMAZING ! TB classified only gets me in trouble.

If I had some extra dough lying around I'd snap this up. Great deal on a very nice bass and that flame board is gorgeous.

I loved this bass too, I was the second owner. I can;t handle the weight (I now have a 6.5 pound Bordwell). Some more details at my for salet thread are here:

FS/FT feeler: Modulus, Brubaker and Pedulla

And I weighed it on a kitchen scale: 8 pounds 11 ounces.

It is a 2009 model, and the original buyer bought it here:

http://www.gguitars.com/mo090035.html and it is still on their web site. The one on that web site is this actual bass. Wonderful instrument. Great price (a lot better than I paid) ;-)

And the fretboard and 5A tops are really things to behold. Absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks for the info and comments, LOWWAY!

Gotta pass on the 6-string offer (2 too many strings for me!)

Gotta pass on the Sterling offer also - love em, but I'm looking for something "new" (to me)

At least for the moment - still available!

Damn close to doing a trade deal - so if you're interested in this bass (cash or trade) let me know NOW!
