FS/FT Modulus Quantum 5 (1995)

Sign in to disble this ad
1995 Modulus Q5 with blue/green burst and gold hardware. Pre Truss Rod Model, loaded with Barts.

Earlier this year I took this bass in on trade from cosmicevan out of curiosity (having never gotten down with a modulus before). Turns out I quite dig them, so much so I'm looking at replacing this one with a 6 string version so it can stay in steady rotation.

Just set up by my local pro and ready to go. Includes Factory hardshell case.

Will offer a satisfaction guarantee / buy back. This bass is straight and true in every sense. If you don't dig it send it back.

Can provide you with more pictures than you can shake a stick at. Just pm me with your email address.

Asking $1750/obo
will trade for a modulus Q6

Thanks - it's a beauty. I'm looking for one just like it in 6 strings.

Best,
DR

man, that's a nice Q5. Boy, if this is 1995, then mine must be REALLY old !! I need to try and get a year date from them sometime.

Year can be found in the serial number...if you do a search or go to the Modulus site they should say it.

Someone better snatch this up soon or it may be coming back to me. I'm in the market for a new bass and am working out my finances for it. Leaning towards a 36" scale fretless 6'er, but with this back on the market...hmm?

i should also add that all the hardware, including knobs, bridge, and tuning machines were replaced with new ones ordered direct from Modulus when i got the bass from the original owner (another TB'er). i was so pumped when i got this bass and it sounded soooo good that i wanted it to look as good as possible. really fantastic bass!

the first 2 digits in the serial number is the year....
ex: serial no. 95XXX is a 1995.

FYI per modulus....

First and only price drop. If this doesn't move it - I'll keep it and find money for a Q6 elsewhere.

NEW PRICE $1500

Holy poop. Man... Man oh man oh man, that thing is beautiful! It's just a bit out of my price range, it'd involve me flogging the herd and all that, and selling my amp, and cutting into my car fund, and I just don't think I've got the heart to do that.

but it's just... so.... beautiful............

I could buy it now.

And I really should. I sold my Genesis 5 here 3 or 4 years ago (Personal priority issues) along with my rig and have missed playing ever since. I'm ready to rebuild, and what an axe to start out with. Can't even begin to argue with the price either. Problem is I drive a truck with my girlfriend right now, and wouldn't even really be able to play it like it deserves right away.

What do you think I should do?

My Good Man, the answer is clear - buy it

this is a no dissapointment deal - the bass is awesome in every way! However if you get it and don't dig it - I will buy it back.

Some playing, is better than no playing

Best,
DR
