FS or FT: MTD 635 Fretless Marilyn Redwood/Mahogany/Maple/Ebony

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi TB'ers,

Pains me to do this, but studio has needs so here it goes:

For Sale:

MTD 635 "Marilyn":
-chambered African mahogany body
-Audi redwood burl top
-maple neck
-additional piezo bridge pickup
-preamp mid control 250/800hz
-matching wood knobs
-MTD world logo

Bass is only a couple of years old, in 9/10 condition. One small nick on top contour of body - hard to see, really. Currently strung with MTD steels w/ 130 B. Comes with MTD Hardshell Case.

Asking $4000 shipped in the CONUS.

Only partial trades considered would be for a nice Alleva-Coppolo Jazz Style 5-string, or a Sadowsky SA 200 Amp Head.

Pix:

Best,

Mike

rexnarticus, I'm forced to agree... Pix never really tell the story with MTD's, IMO... This is just some magnificently figured wood!

Best,

Mike

Makes you just wanna take a few bites out of it. This is only the second one I have ever seen for sale and I would love to try it out. Got a fretless six coming from Germany in a few months though...

Cheers, and good luck with this sale.

Certainly a beauty and I am in the market for a fretless but simply out of my price range.

I'm inclined to keep this for now... Just played it today and it is nothing short of MAGIC!!!

I'll let this thread rest for now... If you have to have this bass, ping me, but it's going to be tough for me to let this one go...

I greatly appreciate the positive comments and interest!

Best,

Mike

MTD

Being that it's chambered African mahogany body, what is the weight? Is the fretboard Ebony or stained Maple?
Beautiful!
