FS/FT MTD Kingston Artist 5 with Aguilar OBP-3 $625

I'm reposting this thread as I could no longer edit the first post:

This is an as new MTD Artist 5 string; this means I bought it new and installed a brand new (still have box) Aguilar OBP-3. I purchased it predrilled for 5 pots. Not gigged ever.

Current controls are vol (active/passive)/passive tone/treb/mid (400 or 800hz)/low.

Trades I'd be interested in would be for ShuttleMax 6 or ShuttleMax 12 (straight trade)
For sale: $625 with passive/active and passive tone and knobs installed | Does not have case but will ship in bubble wrap, double cardboard, etc.. Feel free to make an offer
Shipping will be paid by buyer. Paypal preferred. For anyone in Canada, the prices are the same in Canadian $. I can ship from Can or US so shipping will be reasonable and exactly what it costs.

NEW PICTURES:

A great maple neck:

As you can see Mid control push/pull (further) and Volume Active/Passive push/pull (closer):

OBP-3 Box (will send with bass)

What's the weight? With the mods, how does it sound? Still a "Stingray"ish quality? What's the spacing? Any issues with the bass besides the fact that I'd have to beat people off with a stick if I'm playing it? ;0)

Not sure of the weight but compared to my MTD Beast 5 or my Ibanez atk750 its light. I would have a hard time believing its any more than 8.5lbs. In my opinion, in passive mode, it sounds not quite as beefy as a stingray and I actually find more comparable to my Beast (jazz). In active, anything is pretty much possible; I find boosting the lows and highs a bit gives a stingray tone. But the mid control on this bass is really fantastic: pull it out for the 400hz mid tone and you can a fantastic lower mid growl. Push it in for the 800hz mid control and you can easily have a hi-fi zing. The pre is just so sensitive. If you boost the lows and mids half-way the sound is just massive.
Until I installed this pre I never realized how versatile this single humbucker could be.
19mm spacing... No issues other than its currently hung up in a store. I need $ so I also have up for sale at a local shop. But I'll certainly reinspect it before I ship it to anyone.
The idea behind this bass was for me to have a Stingray sound but with much more versatility and a neck/body I liked more. If I wasn't cabless and broke I would not sell it.

I would but the cheapest rate I found was about $400. That would include taking neck off. However, I haven't shipped to Australia. So if you know a better way... I'm in Canada at R3E1Y4. The package would be 51x21x7.5 (inches) and I imagine 15lbs. If I took the neck off it would be a little cheaper. Could modify the box to make it bit smaller to make it a little cheaper. Let me know if you find a more reasonable quote.

bump. btw regarding the previous shipping question. I could get a reasonable shipping rate to Australia if I shipped the body and neck separately.

Shipping to Australia: $300 for neck removed but in same packing. Approx $145 total for neck and body shipped separately (neck $45, body $100). That's approximate. I sent you a PM on the 22nd.
