I am offering up for sale to a good home my 25th Anniversary 5HSS BFR All Rosewood Neck Quilt Topped beauty. It is #7 of 25, 25ths with the BFR neck, and 1 of 3 in this config (5HSS Quilt). It is in fantastic, like new condition.
This baby plays and sounds great with tones ranging from rich and pillowy to razor sharp, to funktastic and EVERYTHING in between. It can do anything you ask of it, and it looks great in the process. This really is a dream bass, I just for some odd reason prefer fretlesses better for 5'ers.
For those unfamiliar with the 25ths they are great. It features an Active/Passive preamp with a 4-band EQ (when active) and a passive tone control when in passive mode. Each pickup can be selected individually or together for a huge number of possible tones. The bridge humbucker can also be solo'd in parallel or series. The solid rosewood neck is classy, and amazingly smooth and fast.... best feeling neck I have ever touched! The neck profile is the same as the Bongo and very very comfortable, even with the 5-string setup. The bass features the upgraded quilted maple top, and has the mahogany tone block for enhanced clarity and sustain (and they aren't kidding on either of those).
