FS/FT - Musicman Stingray 4H - Basslines guts

I thought I'd NEVER sell this one. I think I've had it for more than 8 years. My trusty Stingray! I'm only selling / trading this one - because my Bee Stingery 4 doesn't seem to stir up any interest here.

I replaced a bad preamp (maybe 5 years ago) with a Seymour Duncan Basslines preamp - and also changed the pickup to a Basslines (alnico) version.

The bass still does the Stingray thing - but a TON mrore tones. MUCH more usable high end, much clearer low end - and balanced volume across all strings. It also has the pull (volume) pot for the "scooped" tone, where the bottom and top is boosted and the mids are cut. The most incredible slap tone you'll find.

It also comes with a drop D tuner.

Nice, figured back of neck (no dings).

Year wise - its around a 1994.

Condition-wise, it's VERY clean, with just a few dings on the bottom edge and a few (very minor) marks here and there. You'd have to search hard for every mark on here. I would give it a 9/10 - easily.

Comes with a creme color pick guard - and I'll throw in a clear pick guard - which really looks great on the bass!

Comes in a creme tolex case. Also - the nut doesn't look original (it was like this when I got it). A

Folks - a great looking, great playing Stingray - that offers you a TON of tone!

SOLD! Thanks, Brian!

Regarding trades - only looking for fretted, 4-string basses of approx. equal value

Here's some pics....

Pretty neck. I dig the cream case too.

Good questions!

I don't have the original preamp, but I might have the original pickup. I'd have to do some looking.

I know I have a MM pickup from a mid/late 80's Ray I'd throw in (from my first Ray).

Weight-wise - I'd say 9.5 pounds. I've have probably 15 Rays in the last 5 years - and this is of "average" weight.
