Post FS/FT Peavey Cirrus (Peacock Blue) - Ampeg SVT1000

Sign in to disble this ad
(DISCLAIMER) I know, I know... I should have split these into different classified areas. Sorry!

Well, for my first classified post on TB, I'm prepared to sell some of my favorite gear. For the amp:

Ampeg SVT 1000
I've had nothing but good use out of the SVT. No gigging, only practice in the home. Amp is in 9.5/10 condition, with a tolex ding. The amp is absolutely clean and powerful with the ability to really get either the Entwistle growl or Jamerson butter. Like I said in the Cirrus description: The sale is only to cure GAS! The amp is super clean in either channel, and all switches/pots are perfect. Want 1000w into 4ohm? That's why I bought it $675 shipped to ConUS.

Also:

Peavey Cirrus in Peacock Blue w/ maple/purpleheart neck and birdseye maple board. Beautiful bass with a few mods:

- Schaller bridge
- Hipshot Ultralight tuners
- Chrome strap pins

I've always done the setup on it as I am determined to put my degree from Roberto-Venn to work... I have Rotosound Jazz 77 flats on it (105's), and have it setup as low as I dare (3.5/32 on bass - 3/32 on the treble, NO buzzes!)

When I had roundwounds on it the setup was lower by 0.5/32, but these Cirrus necks are super-duper stable. I have a second Cirrus that I will be keeping just due to the absolute awesomeness in setup.

There are a couple of dings here and there; nothing serious, but I want to disclose them as I want absolutely no surprises for the buyer. Due to those, this bass will be listed with a lower asking price than if mint, of course

The Peacock Blue and maple is an AWESOME combination, and I had to look long and hard for this one, as this used to be a custom-shop-only order. I am the second owner, and all of the imperfections are from my use as this was/is my primary axe. Anyone who has played the Cirrus knows the smooth feel and fast neck. The 18v preamp is excellent, with super versatile tone shaping. I love the bass, but I'm playing the Pbass more and more, so this has got to go to cure some GAS. $725 shipped to ConUS.(hardshell case included)

SERIOUSLY looking for a perfect-condition DB750. I am a sucker for trades and will browse offers, but I told my girlfriend and daughter (and drummer) to keep me stuck to my guns on the Aguilar...!!!

I am a very avid evilBay buyer/seller (Bloodywanker2), located in Fond du Lac, WI (1hr north of Milwaukee). I've done a share of buying here on TB and I love the level of professionalism of those that I've delt with. Please do not hesitate to PM me for info!

What are you looking for in the way of trades? Do you have the original bridge for the Cirrus?

.....and yes, I do have the original bridge. The hardware was originally gold, but chrome is SOOOOoooo much sweeter looking.

They're like flat-nickel; almost like the finish of a flatwound string. If you send me an email to gbh82@yahoo.com, I can send some pics.
