FS/FT PRICE DROP $225 shipped and New DRs Peavey T-45 with 2nd pu (T-2000) wHSC

Sign in to disble this ad
Howdy! So I carried around a T-40 pickup (eBay $75) for two years in hopes of doing a three pickup t-40 Black Beauty.
I have always liked the t-40 but i felt they should have put that neck pu in the "p" position. When I saw a TB ad for a black t-45 for $200 i jumped at it excited that an L-2000 emulation would soon be mine! I was told the fretjob was bad, which of course it was I decided that buying a replacement t-45 neck would be cheaper than a re-fret and as you can see in the second pic there is that dreaded Peavey neck split high on the fretboard. so I filled all the gaps with wood glue and wet sanded the front and back. the controls are vvtt and both pu's are wired in HB mode. the rout i made for the second pu is smooth but if you look at the picture below you can see i only had 4 pickup ring screws, these pu rings are solid but i often see them broken so i would advise getting them in place.
i was going to do all kinds of switching and blending of coils in this thing but I don't play fretless, I have to pay off this L-2000e I just bought and I can't wait around to find a replacement neck.
I didn't clean up the bass before taking pictures because it is so hard to see dings on a clean black bass. this thing has dings whacks and rash and when i got it there was no truss rod cover or Peavey knobs and i had to replace one tuner ($15). I bought a $35 Peavey chainsaw case thinking I would own this bass forever it has 4 latches and both internal hinge support rods are intact. BUT the foam that was inside had lost its integrity so i scooped it out i am sure some spray adhesive and new foam from the fabric shop will do the trick.
Soooo
I know this is no beauty but i figured i would try this on TB before consigning it locally I have tried to point out EVERY thing wrong that i can it's heavy and it measures 1-3/4" at the neck.
oh yeah i forgot to add that it's awesome!!

$199 shipped conus plus DRs AND a used set of flats

I will take cash or any # of crazy pedal trades (+/- $)
(parametric eq's, delays, eventide pitchfactor, DOD fx25's, Guyatone MD3's, DOD bifet preamp, tube distortion in racks or in ammo boxes whatever!)
or if you're local, bigger stuff! (Old Peavey bass gear 2x15 mark III heads etc)

After only one day! Price drop! And bonus DR strings!!!

$225 shipped CONUS I will ship to some parts of the world (I would pay $50 of actual shipping.) Local pickup/drop off would be $199

Plus I will throw in XXL Carlton t-shirt

And a NIB never opened set of
DR bass strings
Medium DDT-45 (45, 65, 85, 105)

DR’s DDT line was specifically designed to enable players to maintain stable and consistent tuning under any alternate tuning situation. “DDT strings go right into tune and lock in.” DR Strings has formulated specific technologies to enhance the performance and tone with drop-down tuning strings. DR Strings believe DDT’s are the first guitar and bass string sets specifically designed to work for drop tunings.

“They are so stable it is almost eerie.”

PS I am very interested in the Rusty Box and would trade straight for one and I include a DVD on Dana Plato's life story.

Parties interested in this bass should
Contact Atomic Music in Beltsville MD
The price on the consigned bass is $279
Not all of the staff will be aware it's back in on consignment (I left it on consignment but then picked it up for interested TB trades that then fell through twice already)
The description of a black Peavey t-45 bass with customized dual pickups is the easiest way to let them know what you are interested in as there have been three times someone has said "I want to see Sonny's bass that was on Talkbass which doesn't help because there have been three so far!
Thank you for looking, Now I get to keep that Carlton T shirt!!!
