Hi TB,
Need to raise money to fund a double bass purchase.
Here's a few details but I'm sure the MTD "guru's" will have much more insight. Player's bass in good condition, very lightweight (definitely under 9 lbs), plek'd & set-up by Gary Brawer's SF approx 1 year ago (have receipt). Plays great, fat tone, extremely versatile.
-Red trans finish
-34" scale
-24 frets
-Neck through
-Active/ passive 9v 3 band EQ
-Mooradian gig bag
$2,050 shipped ConUs
Possible trade interests below & I'm really hoping to get at least $1,450 on top.
-80's MIJ Fender PBass

Excuse my ignorance, but this has an amazing likeness to the early Japanese Toby basses. Where was the bass built?

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Jun 2011 Location: Burlingame, CA | | | pedulla-2007- As per the thread title, this bass was built in Burbank, CA according to the man Michael Tobias himself. Serial #1711 which puts it's production date in the early 90's before the complete buyout.
Now a 'Toby' or the 'Japanese Standards' are completely different instruments & there's a plethora of information available for those who are willing to do their own research here & the internet in general.
