FS/FT RBass Vintage Style SC6 Single Cut

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a beautiful single cut 6 string jazz throw back R Bass. The bass is in mint condition and has only been in my home studio in an environmentally controlled case. I just restrung the bass with R.Coco's and it sounds stellar. Below are a few of the characteristics of the bass and details of its construction. This bass will include a HSC for the new owner. My asking price is $2000 on this one or best offer.

As for trades, I already have more basses than I know what to do with, but I have really had my eyes on an Alleva Coppolo, preferably a 5 string, but I am open to see what you have. For the right deal I would include some $ on my end. Also, MTD 535-24 and Brubaker basses are ones that I might be open to. Let me know what you have and maybe I'll consider it.

Specifications:
RBass SC6 Elite
18" String Spacing
35" Scale
10lbs on the bathroom scale
Hipshot tuners
Wooden Dot Inlays
Rosewood Fretboard
Maple Neck
Ash body with vanilla pearl pickguard
Wooden control knobs
Bartolini Pickups with wooden covers made custom
24 Frets
9V Preamp with Active electronics

Here are some pictures of the bass:

A couple of little scratches on the back of the control cover...

We were talking about a different transaction that took place, but no worries. This is a beautiful R Bass and I hate to see it go. Just don't seem to work in a six string enough to own more than one.

Ahhh.... That thing is nothing short of amazing.

I'd offer a trade, but I don't think you're interested in a 5 string USA Peavey Cirrus, are you?

basses

the bass is 34 '' scale not 35'' just wanted to clear that part
the pick ups should be nordstrand big single not barts but maybe they were swap for barts the pre amp is a glockenklang
3 band hope that helps.

Wiring from pickups does look like Nordstrand single in pic. Can you please double check bridge spacing too. It looks wider than 18mm. I bet this bass sounds killer.

Hello TB friends. Ray is absolutely the expert on his basses, so I will defer to him on many of these questions. I am currently visiting family in Cleveland but will clarify everything when I return. This bass does sound killer! Really thick low end while still being able to penetrate the mix on the mid and high levels. I rushed a bit to put this ad back up so I will make any and all adjustments as soon as I return. I do have a couple of very interesting trade offers that popped up this week but ultimately I would prefer to sell to help pay for my wedding...
