SOLD
OK Im re-listing this bass after I received new info regarding its history. Apparently at some point there was a separation along the body at the neck joint. It was repaired and it seems solid, it is solid. the previous owner has had no issues, and I have enjoyed this bass in the couple of months that I have had it... it plays and sounds great. But realizing the fact that the bass has had a bit of a history I am going to seriously reduce the price. Bass will ship in a Hard/Soft case. Currently strung with a set of Sadowsky Flats, I will also included a lightly used set of Sadowsky Nickels.
Specs:
Alder body
Highly figured Quilt top and Fretboard (ebony bound)
5 piece neck
Dimarzio Super J's
Suhr preamp (vol/blend/bass/treble/mid/ with active passive switch)
Quilt knobs
Looking for $1800 shipped in the CONUS only (realize I had this posted for $2400) Ill listen to offers but Im not going to go much lower
Im mostly looking to sell at this point but will listen to trades for basses of similar value (preferable to fender/sadowsky vibe) also trades + cash OK.
thanks for looking
- Tom

there was a seam separation, no cracks, where the body and the neck meet, I dont know who repaired it as Benavente has not gotten back to me on this yet... I sent an email Im not sure who repaired the bass.
I only know of the damage because a previous owner informed me while I had the bass on ebay, And Brian at the low end said he remembered a bass (Benavente) that was repaired after being damaged during shipping.
You cannot tell there has been any repair done, no weirdness there at all, the bass looks clean.
Ive used this bass on 2 gigs so far, 3+ sets and have had no issues at all with it. the action is low the bass plays smooth I dig the sadowsky flats that are on there now
let me know if you want more pics or have any more questions.
thanks
