Regrettably up for sale/trade is this beautiful Rickenbacker 4003. Bass is JetGlo and made in 2000 according to the serial number.
I JUST picked this one up, but sadly now I find myself in a place where I need to sell off some gear and condense down to one main bass, and I can't go without a Jazz style bass, so this beauty has to go.
Bass sounds incredible, nails the classic Ric tone, tons of punch and bite and round low end.
Foam mute works fine, and is fully intact. All strings are even in volume. There is NO pickup cover. The bass has plenty of dings, scratches, etc. Lots of mojo in this one. a couple of the tuning heads are slightly bent, but the actual shaft and tuning gears are not affected and work perfectly, and stays in tune perfectly.
Bass has an INCREDIBLE fingerboard, the rosewood is gorgeous. I will post better pics soon. The inlays and binding are nicely yellowed and gives this Ric a really cool vintage look.
I don't have a scale here, but it's lighter than my Geddy Lee, which was lighter than my older Lakland 5-string which weighed right around 10 pounds. SO, I would
guess this one weighs 8.5 or so pounds, it's pretty light weight.
Bass was just professionally set up, plays great. Set up with a set of new nickel/steel Rotosounds.

Prefer to stay away from Fender unless it is a new American Deluxe, then I may consider it.
Throw some more offers at me, worst I can say is no.
