I'm reposting this thread after a couple unsuccessful eBay auctions. I really don't want to do this, as I just got this bass and had it upgraded in the summer, but cash is tight and needed in other areas.
I've lowered my asking price to $1725 shipped! for a Talkbass Supporting Member.
I'd also be up for trades where I get cash: your bass +at least $500. Something like a Skyline JO5 would be great.
It's an older LG, serial 3231. Features:- Maple body/flame maple top (surprisingly light!)
- Standard maple/purpleheart neck
- Black/green diamondwood fingerboard, unlined w/side dots
- Stock Bartolini/Roscoe pickups
- 3-band Bartolini preamp (18V)
- Hipshot/Roscoe A-style bridge
- Original Roscoe semi-hard case
I also have a piece of Diamondwood (matches fingerboard) that I got from Gard which I was going to make into a ramp for this bass. I feel bad having bugged him so much for it only to sell the bass and not go through with that project, so perhaps the next owner will.
Pictures! (click for much larger versions)
The preamp and bridge were both upgraded by the folks at Roscoe from the old 2-band 9V system and Wilkenson bridge. Everyone seems to agree that these are really practical improvements, and there's a reason that these are currently standard specs on Roscoe basses. At this time Keith also setup the bass with my favourite strings, a set of light DR Lo-Rider Nickels. I'll include those or a brand new set of OEM D'Addario strings, the set that comes on Roscoe basses. The action is very low, the neck flat and very comfortable. This bass needs to be played and I don't have much time. My other Roscoe and double bass get all the playing time right now.
Thanks for looking

If I had the $$, but of course I don't.
Bump. If I can't have it, someone else needs to get it!

Good luck with the sale, I'd buy it if I had the cash and the location.

This is a GREAT bass guys! Seriously!
I sold this to Jeff cause I had a brain fart & bought a half-lined Zon instead of
just having Mike Lull (by my office) put some half lines on it. Duh!
Jeff did a nice job of upgrading it. If I didn't already have the half-lined, i'd buy
the durn thing back.
BTW, you CANNOT get that colored neck fretboard anymore! |

I've never been a big green fan, but that bass is so unique, I love it. The asking price doesn't even begin to explain the quality of this piece. I can't believe it's still here???
