Up for sale and possibly trade. A Roscoe LG3005, Serial number TPB 010. This was one of a limited run made for The Perfect Bass...in fact I believe it is ten of ten. The finish is a natural stain, described by Roscoe as Cherryburst, but I would not call it very "bursty"....more of a mello orange-red transition. Not the usual polished exotic wood top you see on Roscoe's. This has a see through finish to some great grain on what I believe is ash. Definitely one piece of wood though. Rosewood fretboard without the 12 fret inlay, black headstock. I got the bass used and it had an Aggie OPB2 in it with the Barts...I liked the sound, but wanted more flexibility so I installed an Aggie OPB3 with the stacked treble/bass and push/pull sweepable mids - in short, it is FLEXIBLE. VERY light, no scale here but it's the lightest fiver I've ever held.
No real serious flaws, dings or dents I can see - but there is a bit of "buckle rash" on the back from use. Otherwise plays and sounds like a Roscoe should - great.
I'm parting ways with her due to the scale length, which is 35". All my other basses are 34" and for some reason I just cannot seem to adjust.
No hard-case, but it will come in a nice Fender gig bag, with the appropriate tools (Roscoe uses a strange size allen wrench, which is included) and paperwork authenticating the "Special Edition" run of Roscoes, and this bass in particular.
I'm looking for $1650 shipped CONUS. As for trades, I am partial to 34" fivers right now (especially with a passive option) - run anything by me, bu I cannot add cash to any deal..
Thanks.
