FS/FT Roscoe SKB 3005 fretless

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is my fretless Roscoe SKB5. This is a fantastic bass that features a deep low end and glassy highs. The bass is equipped with the Nordstrand pickups and a 3 band Bartolini preamp. The fretless fingerboard is very unique. It contains lines, but the lines have been filled with the black ebony and sapwood. Thus, you can see it up close, but it is difficult for the audience to see. The bass comes with the Roscoe hard case. This bass sounds great, but I favor the Century body so it is time for her to find a new home. At the moment, I prefer to sell her, but I may consider trades for the right bass (I prefer trades + cash).

Specs:
Ebony/katalox top
Alder body
Nordstrand 5 pickups
Bartolini 3 band preamp
Ebony/sapwood fretless fingerboard
Black Beauty strings
Roscoe hard case

Price shipped to your door (continental US): $2350
I will ship overseas, but the price will change to compensate for the shipping costs.

If you need higher resolutions pictures, send me a PM and I will email them.

I love the specs on this one! Those woods - and the Nord pickups - seem like a perfect match on a fretless bass. The lines are way cool too, and speak to the creative energy @ Roscoe. And...I've said this before, but...nothing on the planet plays like an SKB five-string. All the best with the transaction!

She is a sweetie. Sorry you have to part her. Whoever lucks out and gets this one will never have a problem finding the 18th fret position

She really is a great bass; I just prefer the shape and feel of the Century V. I will miss that pretty ebony top and fingerboard.

I know what you mean. I'm an "extra large" and the Century body fits me perfectly.

Ok folks, it looks like I had this overpriced, or it looks like the market on fretless basses is just small. Therefore, I am reducing the price to $2350 (which includes shipping). This really is a pretty bass and has a very unique sound.

That is one of the most beautiful, unique Roscoe's I've ever seen. And as you Roscoeheads know, that's saying quite a lot. I don't do fivers, or need a fretless, and i'm poor, so that leaves me out. But someone is going to be very lucky to pick up this gem. Good luck with the sale.

*Sigh*

Pretty bass bump. Never played a Roscoe, and I'd have to save pennies for this one.

One question: how subtle or apparent are the fret-lines in "real life"?
