Hello all,

For many years this was my main player. Bought it in 1999 or 2000 the year is about 1999 or 2000 as well. (can't really remember the exact year) Lately I've only been playing upright and when on a rare electric gig go to a 4 string. I loved this bass for a long time and have over 1,000 gigs on it, however, I'm just not a 6 string guy anymore and think I want a good old Fender again. The tone of this bass can be best described as very acoustic, open and woody on the top end and mids with plenty of focused bottom. Not selling it for any other reason than I don't play it anymore. It needs to be played!
Don't really need the dough and would probably rather negotiate a trade. Who knows, just ask.

Specs:
Make/Model: Roscoe SKB-3006 (ca. 1999 or 2000)
Body: Spanish Cedar
Top: Burl Redwood (best I've seen)
Fretboard: Brazilian Rosewood (stunning)
Bartolini Pickups
18volt pre but sure of the brand or model name in this one anymore (sorry, I forgot).
Maple and Purplehart neck
Graphite Nut
Serial # 3818
Weight: 10.2lbs
Scale Length: 35"
Includes original case

• Asking $1,450 shipped conus or best offer. SOLD

• Also will consider a trade for a vintage or vintage flavored 4 string, especially Fender J or P. No fretless basses on my gas list, sorry.

The finish has an issue and there is some general wear from years and years of solid gigging but it's one heck of a player!

Disclaimer: Not sure of the specifics of the finish but, it seems there was some moisture in the wood or the grain filler used on the redwood top, thus little white spots and clouding has appeared. I am no expert on this subject. Perhaps Gard can give some insight.

Brazilian goodness!

The top.

No clue on the actual measurement. Feels pretty tight (less than a standard Fender bridge for sure). I'll measure it when I get home from the gig tonight, however, I do not own a metric ruler and the only ruler I do have is probably 100 years old (literally) and part of my antiques collection. I'll do my best.

Your SKB3006 is amazing.
Is scale 34" or 35" ?
I have a "Bluesman Vintage" 1961-Jazz Bass.
It is a 2011 bass, that is relic to be a vintage fender style bass.
Stack-knob.
Aged white finish.
Tort. pickguard.
Custom Dave Allan-hand wound pickups.
Alder body.
Rosewood fingerboard.
Comes with case.
You can go to "Bluesman Vintage Guitars" site for info, videos.
I paid $1600 for bass.
John Scott makes guitars, and Basses for celebrities in Nashville.
Buddy Guy, Keith Urban, Tom Petty, are a few he builds for.
Would you consider trade?
If you give me your e-mail I can sent pictures.
Mojo.

It is a 35" scale.
You have a PM, sir.

It is still available but I have a feeling I'm going with the first offer I got. Just waiting for a possible "interesting" trade offer.

Sweet bass, but I don't do 35" scale anymore.
If it were 34" I would go for it.
Good luck in sale.

Sorry to anyone that sent me PM regarding this bass yesterday. My internet is out at home so I had to wait until today when I got to work to answer anyone. All PM's will be answered and again I apologize.

I do have an interested buyer at this time and will probably begin the sale process. If it falls through, everyone that inquired will be updated.

Thanks
