FT ONLY Sadowsky JJ 5

Sign in to disble this ad
So, looks like cortizone shots every few months are working kinda fine right now! So weight isn't as big of an issue as it was.
So, I'm opening this back up to TRADES ONLY.....
Looking for a Sadowsky NYC 24 fret 5.
Basically an equaly bass to what I have, but 24 fret.
MAYBE Elrick single cut 5, MLP single cut (one is for sale here on TB now......would be willing to explore some deal involving it).
"Big Head" Smith 5 (BT5G)

Deets:
1999/2000 (I believe), Ash body, flame maple top, HC, VTC, maple board, 3 pick guards (clear, parchment and tort), front pick-up cover NOT screwed on.
Has a beautiful patina going on with the neck. Body is in good shape as well.
Some minor belt marks on the back.

If you are looking for a mint 10 out of 10 bass, move on.
This is at worst a 7.5 out of 10. In great shape, just don't want anyone to think it's "mint".

This is actually a pretty good picture of the color of the neck:

There are some better pics floating around and I'll find them later and post them up.
I really don't want to get rid of this one. It's one of the sweeter playing ones I've ever owned.

CON US only please.
International, sure, but EVERY cost relating to getting the bass to you will be your responsability (unless you have a Fodera and want to trade).

Man, I'm sorry to hear about the shoulder problems. I've got a bad back myself. What is the weight of this beauty?

Yeah, I mentioned that in my ad as well.
Again though, it depends on what the bass is and it's weight.
If it's for another bass that is the same weight, then really, I'm not real inclined to do it.

It's not a matter of just wanting to move it for GAS reasons.

Mike,

I've got a nice 12 pound Hondo II P-Bass . . .

Kidding. :-) Really nice Sadowsky. Have you by any chance looked at those cross straps that distribute the instrument weight on both shoulders? I saw them at NAMM and they look pretty nice. Might save you some pain (both in the shoulder and in spirit for having to sell this beauty).

Sweet Bass. I have a Sadowsky JJ 5. Tough to give away. I had shoulder surgery last year and it did suck for 12 weeks.

I live in Florida. There is a great builder named Steve Gammon. G-Spot basses. His basses have amazing sound and are very light weight (No I don't own stock in his business..just a fan) His number is 954-290-2599

Mike, check out some comfort straps. You love Sadowskys, and you will end up buying another one any way. Brad Johnson might also be able to help you with strap selection too.

More pics!

I don't have any with the tort pick-guard on it.
But you do get all three- clear, white (more mint/parchment- not "white") and tort.
