FS/FT: Sadowsky Metro M5-24 (VTC and Nord PU's onboard)

Sound Clips!!! All recordings made with the bass plugged into a Samamp Bass Driver and Boss drum machine directly feeding my Zoom H2 recorder, no pre/post-processing. No wise cracks on 'em! I put this together in less than 10 minutes

Fingerstyle (front pickup solo'd, VTC rolled way down)
http://home.fuse.net/bthrem/sale/m5_finger.mp3

Slap (not that greater of slapper but you get the idea, all controls flat, pickup blend in the middle)
http://home.fuse.net/bthrem/sale/m5_slap.mp3

B string bashing (all controls flat, pickup blend in the middle)
http://home.fuse.net/bthrem/sale/m5_b_bash.mp3

Chords up the neck to show the range of the bass (all controls flat, pickup blend in the middle)

Well, I tried to fall in love with her, but I guess I'm just a classic tone guy at heart.

Not sure of the year, but the bass in great shape and has the Vintage Tone Control circuit and newly installed Nordstrand Big Splits. The bass will ship with the original Sadowsky pickups as well (so you can set it back to original if you want too) and the factory Ultra Light case. Currently strung with DR MM Fat Beams. Comfortable weight (< 9.5 lbs) and super easy to play, just not the "tone that's in my head".

Wear-wise there are the typical minor surface swirls but no dings. Slight fading of the chrome on the middle bridge saddles, where your hand rests during pick playing. Only issue with the case is a missing foot button.

I'm looking to trade for a like-valued 5-string bass - espcially Fender Roscoe Beck 5, Fender Precision Deluxe 5 or Fender Reggie Hamilton Custom Shop 5. Willing to work cash/trade, multi-bass, amp, anything bass related...

* $1850 shipped to the CONUS with the Nordstrand and Sadowsky pickups.
* $1650 shipped to the CONUS with the original Sadowsky pickups only.

Will consider sales outside the USA if you're willing to pay more for the additional shipping. Regular PayPal now accepted. If you live within 4-5 hours of Cincinnati, I'm willing to drive and make the deal in person.

Checks in at 9.5 lbs on my bathroom digital scale. Balances perfectly on a strap, very comfortable to play all night.

Again, the ONLY reason I'm selling is the tone - I'm just more into a Jazz, not so in-your-face sound. If the bass had the Jazz spacing pickup option, there's NO WAY I'd sell it.

NICE bass, nice price. My head is spinning. Should I get a "classic" passive 4 string jazz or another "modern" 5 - which is the tone I really like.

Very tempting. I've had Sadowsky electronics in a bass but never a Sadowsky bass. I wish I knew how they felt/played.

Super comfortable 34". Smokin' B-string for a 34" scale. Neck is wide'ish and flat, again very comfortable.
