FS/FT Sadowsky NYC Standard 5 AAAA Spalt top '59 Burst

Yes, you know the one! It is the one everyone has been lusting after.

After a lot of soul searching..I have decided to greatly reduce the gear that I have. I will probably be selling a few more basses. I have been slowly pairing things back and decided to take some drastic measures.

This NYC Sadowsky is a lightweight beast. Only 8.4lbs. It originally had HC pickups in it but I had them swapped for Sadowsky SC pickups about 2 years ago or so when I received the bass. I definitely prefer the SC pickups. Ash body, beautiful AAAA spalted maple top that even has some nice flame that can be seen in some of the pictures, ebony board and '59 burst finish. It was recently setup and fine tuned at the Sadowsky shop...and it plays like a dream.

$2980 shipped to Cont US It is in excellent condition and comes with the older Sadowsky Ultralite case

I will consider trades for 5 string basses with 19mm spacing only. Priority will go to a Nordstrand and NYC Sadowsky P/J 5 or maybe an Alleva Coppolo with no cash on my end, either way. Thanks for looking!

Here is a link to the original Sadowsky listing

Someone grab this, I have played this bass and it is a monster. Vintage tone for days.

Rodney, just wow. What a stunner of a bass. All the best with the transaction...I'm bummed I don't have anything close on the potential trade list. One more time, for worthy emphasis: wow.

Whoever bought it will truly love that bass. I already miss my NYC Sadowsky 5-24 and I am looking for another one!
