I picked this up to test if a Musicman worked sonically with my current style and needs live-gig wise. Worked with flying colors.
Worked so well in fact that I've decided to move up to a true MM. Not because this bass doesn't do everything it needs to... just because I've always wanted a MM and currently can make it work financially.
Black on Black with rosewood fretboard. Everything stock.
It had a couple high frets, so it's had a full fret leveling and recrowning/polishing, as well as a slight lowering of the nut slots, and giving it a full Copper tape shielding of all cavities. Plays great and with minimal effort now and is dead silent. Has been gigged and has some usually gigging rubs and such, but no dents or gouges. Pickguard shows usually tracks from some pick playing, etc.
It's currently strung with 2 week old TI Jazz Flats, or can have the new EBMM Slinkies it came with. Comes with stock padded Ray35 gig bag.
$500 with Slinkies. $550 with the TI's on it. Plus shipping.
I have access to corporate shipping rates so shipping is usually $15 - $20 insured unless it's going somewhere remote on the other coast.
Trade wise i'm looking to trade up + cash for a 5-string Musicman, Sterling, Bongo, etc. and also would consider other 34" 17 -18mm string width 5-string Jazz's, Precisions, or others. I know the odds are low of someone looking to trade down, but you never know.
