Whats up guys.

I've been looking to try other basses, and with a college budget, I can't afford to buy another bass at the moment. Thus, I'm looking to sell this one first or trade it for another. It's in pretty good shape. There are a few really small nicks in the finish around the bass that aren't visible without looking for them. The bass has some fingerprints in the pictures, those are not scratches. The gold knobs are a bit tarnished also, but they can be replaced for a couple bucks. **the bass is pictured with dunlop straplocks, but i will reinstall the original gold strap buttons with the bass.

It sounds great, especially for harder rock. It slaps really well, especially when I had elixirs on it. The 2 band eq and the blending of the pickups really allow a versatile tone to come from it.

I bought it a few years ago, bass and hardcase for $619. It'll come with Dean Markley Blue Steel's in the light guage. I'm located at 22801.

Here are some pictures. Sorry they're not the best.

I'm open to any offers or trades. I'm particularly looking for a blueburst G&L tribute l2k or l2k5, or a modded fender...

Thanks!

****LAST PRICE DROP****
Now I'm selling it at $325 plus shipping! I'll sell the bass alone for $295 plus shipping! I can take paypal, but I ask that you pay the 3% fee.

thats an awesome bass, but the newer inlay turns me off a little. i have an older one with a pseudo-tribal inlay instead of just the two diamonds. either way thats a great bass.

another picture of the quilting and neck grain.
(took off the strings to clean them in denatured alcohol)

i realized that no matter how many pics i take, they just don't do the bass justice.

i'm sure all of you quilted top owners know what i'm talking about.

Besides the couple nicks and whatnot, hows the overall condition of the bass?

Fret buzz? Is the neck straight? Do you keep the action low, and does it play low without buzz?

Thanks.

i'd say its in great condition. to be honest, if you want you could replace the gold pot knobs since they're a bit worn. otherwise there are no deep scratches or anything on the bass. replace the knobs and 99% of people will tell you it looks brand new from anything more than a few feet away.

the fret ends are smooth and the neck is pretty much straight. I keep the action low to the point where if i play it unplugged, most notes buzz. however when it's plugged in, none of the buzz comes through. (this is similar to how victor wooten sets up his bass)

its got a great tone for slap but when i'm playing gigs with mostly fingerstyle playing, i raise the action a little bit so i can dig in more, and i can really dial in a sweet buttery tone especially when mated with my markbass.

this bass sells for $599.99 on musiciansfriend. granted you can get it slightly cheaper at gc after haggling for a bit, $325 for the bass AND TKL hardcase (which is in GREAT condition) is basically half the price of what i paid. if i can't sell the bass at this price, i might as well keep it since its a great bass and its definitely worth more than I'm selling it for. (325 - 50ish for a used hardshell case = $275 for a great condition neck through bass w/ mahogany body, quilted maple top, multi-piece neck, passive emg pickups, and active 2 band eq!)

How much without the case? I don't need or want the case. And would you ship USPS Insured? If duff backs out that is.

I'll sell the bass alone for $295 plus shipping, and if you'd like it insured through USPS to Italy, I'd just ask that you pay for the additional costs.

let me know if this works for you. in the meantime, i'd like to consider duff's offer first.

thanks!

I hate to say it, as you've been trying to hard to sell this, but I'm gonna pass. I found a nice G&L I'm gonna go for.

Man, tempting. I've got to calculate my financial situation first though. Just ordered a Sterling, so my finances just dropped.
