The trade that I agreed to on this did not work out. So back for sale or trade.
Alder J body
Squier Classic Vibe neck-Super thin like a Geddy. 1 1/2" at nut
EMG active pickups with EMG stack pots and knobs (If you are en EMG hater, they are my personal favorite in a Jazz bass, nice mids, big lows, no 60 cycle hum. I have tried just about every J pickup out there, and always come back to the EMG's, I think it is more fashion than substance to hate EMG right now.)
Fender reverse wind tuners
Fender tort pickguard
Fender thumb rest, string tree, neck pickup cover
Badass II Bridge
Nitrocellulose Shoreline gold finish with nitrocellulose white primer underneath.
Plek'd neck. The bass nearly plays itself. Action is super close. The back of the neck has had the gloss taken down to a wonderful satin finish. Very very smooth, feels great on the hands.
The only downside is one quite small buff through on the bottom of the bass next to the strap button. Small and hardly noticeable. You can see the primer in a very small spot where I went just a little too far when buffing. Other than that, this bass is tip top.
$425 shipped to the lower 48! That is about $600 less than what I have into paint/plek and parts. Seriously, these projects can get expensive. And are expected to be given away here. Not upset about that. I understand that reality. lol.
Trades, looking for a Cassidy, Hamer Cruise 80's neck through style, Peavey Cirrus,. Hit me up with what you have. Looking for something different, I have three J basses right now. I like some of the MTD stuff. Like the Heir or Z4. I feel the actual value of this is quite a bit higher than I have the cash price set at. Just the way things are right now, hard to move things with cash. So, not really interested in $600-$700 basses that have a request for me to add cash. That would be pretty much a straight trade in my opinion.

BTW ... sweet price ... if I weren't on a 5'ver kick ... I'd be thinking long and hard about this one. The parts alone are worth the price of admission.
Good luck with the sale ... it's a real looker ... I'm sure a player too.

I agree also about the EMGs. One of the warmest sounding basses I have ever played/owned had EMGs. If I had the dough, I swear I would offer you more than your asking price.

i'm not a fan of emg's really, but that's only because i prefer passive pickups. i heard that emg has a passive J style pickup out now, so i need to look into that.
