Up for grabs ... a gorgeous boutique fretless that needs to be played!
For those of you that know Pete's work, know his meticulous attention to detail and high quality. I acquired this bass because I needed a fretless for just a few gigs. I can't justify keeping this beauty in it's case. It's # 11 made and would cost approximately $5,000 if Pete made it today.
Fretboard recently dressed by Pete, new hybrid strings installed and knobs replaced with ones that have a sleeker style.
This puppy growls ... I wish I were a fretless player. Here are the details:
Fingerboard: Mac Ebony
Neck: 5-pc maple purpleheart neck
Body: African Mahogany with a tone block of figured maples
String spacing at the bridge is 18mm
Weighs about 9.5 Ibs
Skjold/East - 3 Band Preamp
The bass in really really nice condition. I'd call it a conservative 8/10. Only some light player wear on the back keeps it from being higher. No issues structurally at all! Neck, truss rod, electronics are all perfect.
