Up for sale or trade is a slightly modified Squier James Johnston Jazz Bass. Bass plays great, everything you want a jazz bass to be. Basically a very pretty Classic Vibe Jazz bass. I tried a few other pickups but the stock single coils honestly sound the best. I could also swap a vintage nitrate 4 ply tort pickgaurd which looks excellent on this bass (only if it hasn't sold in a different thread). Bass is stock with two exceptions... replaced the really crappy original nut with a Tusq nut and replaced the original tuners with Gotoh Res-o-lite tuners.
Bass balances perfectly, plays with very low action and sounds like a great jazz bass. Neck is very close to the neck on my 62 AVRI (upsettingly close for costing about 1/4 of the price).
The bad... some idiot drilled a hole through the headstock when installing the tuners...

I don't know who this moron was

There is some chipping of the paint in the neck pocket not bad but it's there I try to get some pics of that when I'm near the bass again.
