FS/FT Status/Washburn S1000 ** Price Drop **

Sign in to disble this ad
Thought long and hard about this one. Plays fantastic, that Status sound, nice and light but she's become a case queen.

Late '80's Japanese made, maple neck through under license from Status. (think equal to MIJ and CIJ Fender or MIJ Ibby quality. This was when Washburn was a high quality guitar company, not what they turned into in the late 90's.) Transparent red over walnut top, Plays like butter and that Status sound. Comes with original case.

There are a couple very small dents on the body, none have gone through the paint. (My camera is pretty cheap, I can't get them to show up.) It's in very good to excellent condition for a 20+ yo instrument.

For a cash deal I let her go for $600 USD, shipping not included.
(Sorry, loosing too much at this price to pay for shipping)

For trades I'm looking for a bolt on Leo type bass with a Jazz size neck preferably a PJ PUP configuration but J-J or J-MM or P-P work too. Fretless works as well. With cash going either way as needed.

Thanks!

(yes, the truss rod cover and knobs are off in the picture, I was giving her a good cleaning)

I own one of these bad boys and the sound out of these are thunderous!!!
plus it accepts both single and double ball end strings
very good craftsmanship if a bit on the heavy side
but the sound out of the Status pre and pickups are awesome

These are all wood construction, Shy Guy. All Status hardware.

I just picked up one of these and it's great. I've been having a blast playing it.

I owned one of these Series 1000 for nearly 7 years and I can say that they're amazing for their price.

I used to have one of these, fantastic bass. If it had 5 strings I would still own it.

My question as well. I have a Fender Aerodyne with Nordy P/J pickups I might be interested in trading.
