FS/FT Steinberger XL2/A

I have a Steinberger XL2/A bass with drop D tuning bridge. I acquired the bass from the original owner. The guy bought it for his wife in Washington DC in '99, supposedly played it about 4 hours, and it sat in the case since then. The bass is essentially in new condition (the original owner thought it still had the original strings on it). Sounds great, plays great. A couple of fingernail scratches near the pickup, but visible only with the right light and angle. I love Steinbergers, but I've switched to 5ers.

$2,500 $2,250 now $2,000 plus actual shipping costs (probably less than $35 CONUS). Or trade for a high-end bass (5 string only) +/- cash as appropriate.

Umm, the suspected lint on the photo in question is actually a fiber of some sort. The bass is in exceptional condition.
