Here is an Early (MIJ) Genuin Fender Steve Harris Sig. Series Bass body I purchased on Ebay. It had none of the original parts. Just the body. So I began to assemble a great little parts bass.
Here are the specs.
Body- (bass wood) Early Steve Harris Sig. Series (MIJ) body is used and has some minor wear but nothing bad.
Pick guard - Mirrored Chrome
Bridge - Leo Quan BA II
Neck - 1 peice Maple with modern C shape and skunk stripe. Feels much small than standard Steve Harris Sig. bass (more like current American Made Fender P bass)
Pickups - Tesla P bass 60's style pickups. (Hotter than standard Fender P bass)
Passive tone circuit using CTS USA vintage tone pots and Chiclets style tone cap
Tuners - Chrome Grover Vintage style
String retainer - 3 slot Hipshot
This bass has been constructed using high quality parts to produce a fantastic sounding and playing instruments. Heavy duty neck bolts and anchors have been used to fasten the neck to the body. One of these neck bolts alone have more holding power than 4 standard bolts with neck plate. They produce a more solid contact point for the neck which in turn produces a much more resonent instrument.
The neck has been finished in a proprietary oil/poly blend. Frets have been levelled, crowned, dressed and polished and the fret board edges have been rolled for a broken in feel.
If you are looking for a fantastic P bass that has tons of attitude and "balls", then look no further. This is the one for you. It currently has flat wound strings on it, but I will gladly restring it with Circle K strings if you prefer.
