FS / FT - Tele Style Bass Thing

I want to trade this for a head. I don't care what kind. It has to work and it has to be loudy-loud! I'd also be happy to sell for $200 Shipped. It isn't perfect, but it's a pretty cool bass.

Body - I made it. Poplar with a basswood strip in the middle.. has some very cool, interesting grain... has been refinished. There are also two routs for humbuckers under the guard... you'd never know.

Neck- Maple/rosewood, unknown maker, nice, chunky P style with a reshaped headstock. Aluminum nut. Unknown tuners that work. Also, I used a nickel as a string tree AND the headstock has a small waterslide decal under the finish that says "SKEETER" in yellow. Why do I have that decal? I don't know... get off my back... I named the bass SKEETER, what are you going to do about it, champ?

Pickup- Seymour Duncan 1/4 pound 51 P. I kind of removed the "Basslines" logo from the pickup because I always think they look tacky.

Bridge- Vintage solid high-mass brass DiMarzio. Weighs a ton. Great sustain. A very cool piece from the 70's

Strings- Knucklehead .105's

$200 Shipped or trade.

Agreed! This bass has loads of personality, I especially love the nickel string retainer.

LMAO.... I pretty much want to buy the bass because of this paragraph alone.

Awesome looking bass! Someone is going to get a weapon of mass rumble with this mean machine. And a great price, too!

Thanks everyone!

.. yes, it has personality... it's like your weird uncle that you want to have around when you need him to by you beer at 7-11. He's rough around the edges, a little nasty, but serves his purpose and is always good times.

In the interest of full disclosure... here's some documentation of this bass and where it has been: My Tele-ish bass through the years.... a journey.

Floridabwoy.... tell me a little something about your Mammoth clone.

Isn't this the bass you just posted pics of a bunch different incarnations of? You may think you're sick of it but you WILL regret selling it for a lousy $200 or trading it for a pedal you'll never use. Give yer head a shake dude.

I appreciate the advice... and I will happily make a bass for any of my daughters that want to play... There is only one bass that I regret selling and that was a nearly flawless Gibson EB-4L..

....but this baby is off to the great white north.

Traded for a head... super pumped!
