Okay, I've been putting this off for months now, but it's time to let this baby go. I've been playing Japanese Tune basses for over 15 years, and this one is as nice as any of them. But the fact is, I already have several nearly identical basses that I love just as much, and there's no point in keeping all of them.

The bass plays really, really well. Super comfortable neck, low action and light weight. I would characterize the sound as very punchy with lots of attack, though the electronics allow a huge variety of useable tones. I am partial to Japanese Tunes over the Korean ones, and you can really feel the quality when you play this instrument.
Here is a link to a Youtube video of me playing the bass to give you an idea of the sound.
I had the original Tune SWS4H pickups and GAP-1 preamp replaced with top of the line EMG electronics. This was an improvement IMO, in terms of increased tonal variety and lower noise. But I am including the original pickups and preamp in the deal, so you can go back to the original sound if you wish. The EMG pickups were a slightly different size, but were professionally installed by an ace repairman and the resulting gaps have been neatly plugged with black polyurethane. There has been some corrosion on the brass hardware, the gold plating has worn off in places, and there are a few minor scratches on the body. Not bad for a 20 year old bass I think. I recently cleaned all the hardware thoroughly and oiled the body, neck and fingerboard.
A custom molded Zoom hard case is also included in this deal. Local Southern California buyers are welcome to try it out/pick it up in person. For others I will ship via Fedex. I'm selling it for what I paid (before the expensive electronics upgrades), so I'd rather just keep it than drop the price. I am open to possible trade for a high quality modern active 4 or 5 string fretless (not a Fender). Otherwise, no trades please. Thanks for looking, and feel free to ask any questions.
