Ok...maybe it's not "the ultimate" P bass, but it's pretty dang good!
I bought this bass about a week ago and it is definately a great bass, however, I'm not a 4 string guy anymore. I now have a 6 string bass and am going to get another 6er or a 5er to back up my main 6.
Here is the orininal seller's thread:
3--American Made Peavey Fury Basses!!
Here's my take on the bass:
I bought the upgraded P with the bartolini P pickup and the Schaller bridge. This is an amazing combination with this bass as it sounds thunderous and holds tuning/intonation like a champ.
The entire neck is painted black and looks very cool. While some necks can feel "sticky" this one surprised me as it really doesn't.
I hear guys say all the time "if a p bass didn't have such a chunky neck, i'd play one." Well, this is the bass for you. Very nice non chunky neck! Chris Squire and Geddy Lee licks are no problem on this neck because it plays so easily.
The bass is in great shape really. It has one paint chip which is pictured, but in no way affects the playability and adds some mojo. Normal wear as well, but nothing major.
So here's what you get: The modded p bass and a nice peavey hardshell case for: 225 shipped!
That's a great deal for a USA peavey P bass with upgrades. This bass plays as well as any US or MIJ Fender and absolutely kills the MIM series Fender sells for much more!
