Hey guys! I recently got this modded out 55-01 from a session guy from LA, and I have gigged it a few times as well as played it for quite a few hours of practice. The story I got about this bass is that Carey actually installed the pickups and preamp at his shop in LA. While he was at it, he completely shielded the control cavity. The bass sounds and looks amazing! It's in the now discontinued inca silver, and only has one small ding near the input jack.

Bottom line is that it's a KILLER bass, but I find myself almost never using the B string, especially for a lot of the stuff I'm doing.
I'd love to trade this for a JO or ESPECIALLY a hollowbody. For an outright sale, $900 with a Lakland gig bag that has seen much better times, but will serve to protect the bass in shipment.
