FS/FT US Lakland Glaub w/Fralin Pup

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is my beloved US Lakland Bob Glaub, of which I'm the original owner. Everything about this bass reeks amazing P, but I've come to realize that I'm not a P Bass kind of guy and desperately need a 5 string. Here are some details...

-Serial #339 (completed in late December of '07, delivered in January of '08)
-Trans White Finish, Tortoise Shell pickguard
-Ash Body, Indian Rosewood Fingerboard (unique combo, the traditional sound is there, but with rounds this thing sounds raw and rockin')
-1.75" nut width
-Lindy Fralin Split Coil Pickup
-Currently strung with Labella Jamerson Flats (will also throw in used Lakland Flats, TI Jazz Flats, and a brand new set of Labella 45-105 Flats, that's damn near $200 worth of flats to try!)
-Includes OHSC and quality Levy's leather strap equipped with Dunlop Straplocks.

As far as trades go, I'm looking for a Sadowsky Metro MV5 w/vtc or a really nice Jazz style 5 (Mike Lull, Nordie, and possibly an AC with cash on my side) string bass with 19mm spacing at the bridge, preferably ash/maple combo. Also might be interested in an F Bass or MTD 535 plus cash on my end. I'm quite willing to take other offers as well, but only fivers, please.

After the last price hike, these go for $2850 street. For an outright sale I will ship anywhere in the US for $1900 (Price Lowered)

I've got a unmixed garageband clip around here somewhere. Let me see if I can dig it up...

Here's a quick, sloppy slip with some foam under the bridge. Unmixed, no compression, through a Line 6 UX2 (fliptop model) into Garageband.

While my bathroom scale is certainly not up to snuff with UPS standards, it's safe to say this weighs in below the 8 1/2 lbs mark.

More Clips

Started off as a melody assignment for my Harmony Class and the second clip is just a riff on the often forgotton B Section of Chameleon. Apologies to Paul Jackson in advance.

The Fralins are the jam. I've had a CS Jazz Bass for 6 or so years. After 4 years of playing and loving it, on a whim I decided to throw in some Fralin singles and couldn't believe the difference it made. Literally night and day, and to think I was happy with my sound before the change, haha.
