FS/FT: USA G&L L-2000

Price dropped!

Up for sale is my recently acquired US made G&L L-2000 in a natural finish (which means it's G&L's best selection of wood since there's no finish to cover up any flaws) with a rosewood fingerboard. The neck is a jazz profile which plays very well. Bass is played but not abused and I can't find any noticeable dings or scratches anywhere. The only thing to note is the input jack is a little funky and should probably be replaced but that shouldn't be more than 10 bucks for the jack and $20 for labor. A very good instrument that I'd be keeping but I find I prefer EBMM humbuckers over G&L humbuckers. Serial number is: CLF19002. I don't know the exact year but it's a very new looking bass, if someone is really interested in the year I can take off the neck and look but my guess is it's somewhere past 2003. Condition I would rate as 9/10.

Pics can be found here: http://s739.photobucket.com/albums/x...l85835/L-2000/

Bass will ship in the G&L hardcase that came with it. Currently strung with a set of Prosteels.

Price: $950 $900 Shipped CONUS
BEEN HERE A WHILE, OPEN TO CASH OFFERS

Trades - in descending order:

-EBMM Bongo
-EBMM Stingray 2 Band (Classic or non Classic)
-Warwick Streamer Stage I or II
-Any Neck Thru Spector, strong preference for humbuckers
-Rickenbacker 4004

I have cash I can add to make just about any deal even so feel free to shoot anything by me.

PM me with any questions or offers you may have, the worst I'll say is no.

Thanks!

Paul

This has nothing to do with the sale of the bass, but I am curious about how you keep bumping this thread up without adding messages...how do you do such a thing?

John,

He's bumping it the correct way, if you look at the time of his latest message, it shows a new time. He's just deleting his old bumps, and having the same "message" in the new one, so it appears that nothing has changed. Streamlined, and no clutter!

No it's magic...

But yeah, that's it. I'm not a fan of cluttered threads.

Can't edit the main post anymore so I'll put this here: Input jack is now fixed and fully functional.

That L2000 has the nicest grain I've seen on a natural ash bass... period.

Very good I'd say. I like it's sound on percussive techniques a lot (slap and pick). As for describing it: think a musicman slap tone but with a little extra chunkyness to it. The sound clips on the G&L website are quite similar to what I'm getting.

Sending you a PM as well.
