Hey guys, some how I let the GAS get the best of me and I have a few too many basses at the moment. I would like to sell, but would also look at a trade as well if the right piece came along (Lakland 44-01, 44-02, 55-01, 55-02 or a solid Jazz bass, Tobias Growler, Cirrus, basses from 1993, 5 stingers are great, anything with a WENGE neck!!!) If I do a trade, I gotta see the WOOD!
American made G&L L2000 in black. Has players wear and tear, but overall in good shape and still sounds huge. It is a 1987 wit the 1 1/2" nut width. I picked this up from a producer who moved to Hawaii for $520, so I got a smokin' deal. Just had her setup at Guitar Trader here in San Diego two weeks ago with brand new DR DDT strings (tuned for drop C). We also threw a new black input jack in. Intonation is good and she thumps.
2 things to note; I can visually see a slight dip in the neck between 13 and 16 on the g string side, but can't feel it. The active preamp has been pulled (I don't know why, maybe the producer guy wanted it to be only passive for that "P bass " sound). All knobs and switches work, other than the switch that goes between active and passive.
The weight is right around 9.2 pounds according to my scale. The frets still have a lot of life in them, no dimples, but there is some wear. The neck has a gloss finish and there are a few nicks on the back of the neck and headstock with a ding directly opposite the 1st fret.
Seeing as how I have put a few more $ into her, I would like $600 $575 $540 shipped CONUS in a gig bag. Cheers!

Or is it just disconnected?

Or is it just disconnected? | Mike, she works as a 100% passive bass as the 9v preamp is gone. One of the knobs is push/pull for active/passive and it does nothing to the sound (call it a passive/passive). All the other knobs and switches function correctly. |

Do all 3 switches still do something? if so, maybe he modded it to have seperate coil switches for each pickup?

I know for sure that the bass and treble cut controls work and the volume knob works. Also pickup selector: neck pickup, both pickups, bridge pickup and series/parallel selector: series towards neck, parallel towards bridge. |

I would do paypal $500.00 or
My MM Sterling with $250.00 on your end or
My basically new (Mint, but I'm not digging the more "jazz" sound) Lakland Skyline Decade and $350.00 on your end.
Two questions: the dip in the neck- does it affect the straightness of the neck above those frets?? Is the pre amp gone, or just disconnected?
Thanks-
