FS/FT: Vintage Kay K2-B short scale bass

I bought this from the TB classifieds a year or so ago for two reasons. First, my 5th grade daughter was expressing an interest in playing bass, and second, I wanted to add a short scale to the arsenal. Now the daughter's interest has evaporated and my Allen Woody fulfills my short scale needs. This is a cool little vintage bass. It has wear and tear, but nothing out of line for a bass this old in my opinion. Electronics all work great, not noisy at all. Pretty useful and responsive EQ but this bass is only going to sound like itself at the end of the day. To my ears it really sounds nice with a pick but I am not playing any music right now that needs a vintage pick tone. The worst crime committed against this bass is the homemade replacement pickguard, which looks okay from a distance but is a little rough. I've tried to take pictures that show this bass in all its best and worst.

Looking for $200 shipped CONUS, or trades. Not sure exactly what I'm looking for in trade, but a 50's P-style or acoustic/electric would make me look twice.
