FS/FT Warwick! Another Streamer content!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a 1999 Warwick Streamer. It shows play wear. I give it an 8 out of 10. It has several dings and dents, nothing major. Great grain on the body and neck! This thing is a tone ANIMAL! Missing two knobs as shown. Fitted with Dunlop Straplocks. It even says, made in west Germany. so no communist influence here folks! Let's say $750 O.B.O. shipped or trade for ? Make me an offer! I am simply clearing out the stables. making way for new ones! GAS IS A DISEASE!

Thanks,
zack

Yeah, these are Plain, Simple, and AWESOME! I've got a singel H Streamer Std, and it is Light, Sounds Great, plays Great, and It's a "Wick!

IIRC the Vol is Push/Pull for Single Coil/Humbucker...

Probably, as there is a streamer rockbass, but there also is a corvette, Vampyre. and fortress rockbasses as well... So one might say that those four inspired the rockbass line.

I believe, from prior research, that this was Warwicks lowest end bass in the 90s. They then discontinued this bass (early 2000s?) and introduced the Rockbass line.

Rockbasses are a bit cheaper than these were, but these were made in the Warwick factory and are far better than a Rockbass.

Note the different woods and bridge.

This bass is probably Carolena. Yeah. No idea. But that's what I heard. Any idea what that stuff is?

I could be completely wrong about this bass, but I did some intensive research when I found one locally on Craigslist for literally DIRT. I wish I had gotten it. You have no idea how cheap it was. Deal of a lifetime in my opinion.

Good luck! This one is a beauty!

I had a fretless 5 string version of this bass. I loved it, but, like you said, GAS is a disease.

They still make this bass. The entire streamer line is still continued.

Maybe I misidentified your bass. She is beautiful nonetheless.

They still make a Streamer Standard, but it is essentially a RockBass now. GuitarCenter doesn't call it one, but if you go to the Warwick website, it is listed under RockBass Series. The only place it says RockBass now is on the TrussRod Cover.

These Old "Made in Germany" Streamer STD's were made in 98-99 IIRC. I played mine tonight. It's no RockBass. It's a Real Warwick!

The wall fell 20 years ago...But Mien Brudders in Koblenz, Dusseldorf, and Augsburg still tell "East German" jokes, like we tell "Pollock Jokes". (I married a Polish Princess. She knows them ALL!)

But the choice is simple. You can spend $950 at GC for a Streamer STD with Rockbass in tiny script on the truss rod, or you can buy/trade/steal this Relic of the (WINNING SIDE of the) Cold War! Nothing Growls like a Real Warwick. It's Der WunderKind! It sounds like...FREEDOM!
