FS/FT: Warwick Streamer Stage 1 (feeler)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

**UPDATE!** This bass is officially open for sale. ConUS only. PayPal only. Thanks!

So in my quest to downsize my stable I've found myself thinking about selling/trading my beloved Warwick Streamer Stage 1 (1991). Here's a teaser of the beast:

To say the least, this bass is amazing. The neck is incredibly smooth and fast. Warwick basses usually get a bad rep for having chunky necks, but this bass has one of the skinniest necks I have ever handled. The neck-through design really helps reaching the 24th fret with ease.

To compliment the neck, this bass can also rock incredibly low action without having any fret buzz. Now if you're a digger you'll probably need to adjust the action some, but this is made incredibly easy thanks to the Just-a-Nut and highly adjustable saddles and bridge.

The sound of this bass is also just as amazing as the neck. The preamp offers a wide range of tones that work well in many styles and situations. The jazz pup gives off a lot of signature growl and snap, and the reversed split coil fills out the low end with a nice burpy punch.

As far as the condition is concerned, I like to rank this in the 'used but never abused' camp. The bass definitely shows signs of wear (buckle rash, thumb rash above the P pup, some small nicks, etc...) but nothing too extreme or noticeable from a distance. For a 20 year old bass I think it looks great

The bass comes with strap locks (I'm not sure if these are original to the bass or not), the Warwick truss rod tool, the Warwick allen wrench for the bridge, and your choice between a Warwick Rockbass Deluxe gig bag or a Roadrunner hardshell case. I can sell both the gig bag and the hardshell together for an additional cost.

Let's say: $1,600 shipped in the ConUS. Sorry, no international.

Trade interests (feel free to run others by me):

- Modulus Flea/Funk Unlimited and Quantums
- Something by ZON
- A nice Ric

Thanks for your interest!
James M.

Bump for my old bass and a truly amazing Warwick made when they were so good! Good luck on the sale and I wish I had the scratch to snag it from you.

I had this same era Streamer, same spec (but with gold hardware), and it was an amazing bass. everything jmatt says about the action and necks on these things is 100% accurate. by far the best era for Warwick basses. $1500 is a steal.

I've decided to hold on to this bass. If I decide I can actually get rid of it I'll reopen. Thank you for all the looks, interests, and messages telling me how great the bass looks.

If that's the original nut (made out of brass) then it's a Just-A-Nut, not a Just-A-Nut II. Also, the year of manufacture is indicated in the serial number so the "circa" shouldn't be necessary. I owned a 1991 Streamer just like this for a number of years - definitely one of Warwick's more ergonomically-friendly designs (and it was light!). Good luck with the trade.

Good catch. It is an original Just-A-Nut. It is a '91 - I just like saying the word circa

Bump!

I've been getting some great offers but I'm still holding out for a Modulus or maybe a ZON.
