SOLD!
Bought this off TB less than a year ago here: FS: Warwick Thumb NT (2006) 4-string - $1499 shipped
It's still in the same condition as when I purchased it except that I've replaced the Warwick straplocks with Schallers and I've waxed it often enough that the thumb mark above the neck pickup is essentially gone. Definitely at least a 9/10.
Legendary Warwick growl with a surprisingly versatile MEC 3-band pre. Selling because it's too nice a bass to keep hanging on my wall. Currently strung with new DR HiBeams -- these really brought the bass to life. I definitely recommend them to anyone who plays a Thumb.
$1499 shipped. I'm primarily looking for a sale, but for trades I'd probably be looking to trade down since, as with the Thumb, I won't be recording or playing shows with it.
These Blackberry pics don't do the bass justice:

wish it had another string | Definitely give it a go. I had d'Addarios on it and was constantly trying to pull out a sound that wasn't there. The hi-beams sound unreal! Best pricing I've seen has been from The Perfect Bass. Quote:

If they're licensing out their name, do you know who's manufacturing them? |

Also, looks like I have a deal in the works right now, so unless someone is looking to buy outright to snatch it up, this one may already be on it's way out. |

| | | | No Brainer I have a 1996 Thumb NeckThru...
Bubinga...wenge neck....Original Brass Just A Nut with individual adjustable string height...
I took out the MEC pickups and MEC electronics...
Put in Delano Jazz Pickups and Aguilar OB-3 pre-amp...
You think it sounded good before...now it sounds like nothing else...deep, punchy, funky, growly...
Just a pleasure to play every time...
Would never think of selling my Thumb...
Upgrade is recommended to anyone considering it. |
