FS/FT: Washburn AB40SH Stu Hamm Acoustic Electric - A/E Bass
Putting up my Washburn AB-40SH - Stu Hamm Signature Acoustic Electric bass. Bass is in excellent condition and an overall fantastic instrument. Look, feel, fit, finish and tone on this are excellent. Thin body, very easy to play, and sounds great amplified. It is a thin bodied acoustic bass so it is quiet when unplugged.
Washburn AB40SH Stu Hamm Acoustic-Electric Bass Features:
Arched spruce top
Arched maple back
Custom Stu Hamm yin-yang inlays
Intonatable monorail bridge
Custom piezo electronics
Buzz Feiten tuning system
Includes GC44 case
I picked this up last year to support my acoustic side project and have loved playing it. The only ONLY (and I do mean ONLY) reason I am putting it up is that I finally landed a Martin acoustic bass.
$500 plus shipping (it's large and shipping is killing me). Will ship in the Custom Washburn GC44 case.
TRADES: I'm really on the hunt for a good 5 string but have just taken on a new project and could use a nice jazz. Strong preference for a Warwick or Fender. P bass also considered. I can add some cash if necessary.
I love the inlays.
Pics of the back of the headstock and neck and the tuning system on the body.
Again, the bass is in excellent condition.
PMs responded. I'm looking mostly for a 5 string but feel free to throw other ideas out. I'm known to change my mind, ha.
Updated price and trade bait.
I have a Washburn AB35 fretless It is basically that w/a different bookmatched back and one piece neck. Its a 5 string fretless and sounds really woody and clean amped but small unplugged. It is missing the retaining nut on the jack and I am going to find one today but it has an xlr plug in as well as the 1/4.This one may need strings
I'm looking for an electric 5 string primarily. I'm set with the Martin 4
All PMs responded. Some really cool trade offers. Keep them coming, worst I can say is no. Thanks.
That's a great looking acoustic bass! I bet it sounds just as good as it looks. Bump!
Thanks. Yes, it's a fantastic player and sounds great plugged in. I've been very happy with it. Again, only moving since I grabbed a nice Martin AEB (I live very close to Martin and have several friends that are gainfully employed there).
It's Made in China. Build quality is excellent. It is a production AEB.
