For sale or for trade is my walnut Wishbass #947, the JB model. $485 + shipping - and comes with a nice padded gig bag.
For those of you who don't know me, I collect Wishbasses. I also refinish, refine and recondition them in my home shop. I have been doing this since 2008 and I have owned almost 2 dozen Wishbass or Wishnevsky instruments to date. Most of them I still own actually. I have made a hobby out of refinishing and refining them, to the extent I wrote a refinishing guide about it, which is posted in this forum (see: WISHBASS REFINISHING GUIDE). In this time I have refinished several Wishbasses, this JB being one of them. I spend a lot of time getting these basses smoothed out and perfected to the extent that they can be. This particular bass has been a personal favorite of mine and I am selling it only because the neck width is not comfortable to my smaller hand size and I find myself not playing it much - which is a shame. I have tried to retain the original character of this bass so it will remain a Wishbass yet be vastly improved in feel, looks and playability. I have well over 40 hours into the refinishing of this JB and it is a joy to pick up and play. Be aware though, that with the close bridge position of the pickup on the JB, this bass has a more treble affect to it than others.

I would prefer to sell this one outright, but I would consider trades, especially if it was another Wishbass (valued below this one}, and the earlier the better. I would also be interested in a sunburst Squier VM TB bass, new or like new.
I have lots of other photos, both of the completed bass and as it was being worked on so just ask if you want to see more.
If you do not know about Wishbasses and are curious, I suggest you go into the rather extensive threads within TB (9 to date!) and do some studying. Most of your questions and concerns can be met there. There has been a lot of bad press on these guitars and while clearly they are not for everyone, I find them fascinating and not at all deserving of the reputation some have given them. This is a chance for someone to own one that has been lovingly refinished, improved, refined and customized for less than the cost of a custom Wishbass ordered directly from the builder. Thank you!

Any thoughts, feedback? ...............................

Sorry, but I can't work with you on that kind of a trade for that reason. Thanks all the same though!

However, in order to keep the peace at home, any trade I might do will need to include cash, if you get my drift. I am open to trading for another Wishbass or Wishnevsky instrument, just not ones that equal the value of my bass. As I stated earlier, I am also a Bullet bass fan, but it would need to be an early '80s type from Japan or the US. Unless it was a Phil Jones amp, I do not need anything else along those lines.
- just saying, and thanks for looking ..........
