Well it is time to pass this beauty/beast on to someone who can play and care for it better than I. Bought it from the original I wanna say 5 years ago. He added a couple dots at the usual positions along the neck, and also put in a K+k Big Twin Internal pickup which sounds amazing. Acoustic it sounds OK. I play with a guitarist who uses nylon strings and it was a good mix, but I think you'd have a hard time keeping up in most jam sessions with steel string players. I played it through a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0 and it was one of the best acoustic tones I've heard. I think it is 3 ply Birch and the neck looks like Walnut to me. Scale length is a short but comfortable 29 1/2"
I found it most comfortable on the left knee, either horizontally or upright on the knee. Could be played standing up but you'd need to fashiong some kind of the stand, but the shape does allow and even encourage that kind of stance and arm position.
There used to be a video of the original owner playing it somewhere. hmm...
Looking to get $400 shipped in the CONUS. I can do international but it will cost you. Paypal only please.
Trades: Pretty much anything. No unlined fretless though. Would like to try a 5 string.
on to the pics!

Everytime someone asks a question I have to go play it to give a good answer and I ask myself why I'm selling it. However when you see the video of me playing, you'll hear why I should stay away from unlined fretless.
The thing is big. Hard to get around. On the few times I took it out the house I would just wrap in sheets or something. For a while I had this giant piece of foam and a piece of rope and I could get it wrapped and unwrapped pretty quickly. Then I could sling it over myself. Ok I'm sharing too much.
I should also mention that I'm open to trades for projects as well. bodies and necks, pickups and cash, whatever.
Ok here's a video of the bass, (yikes I've never made a youtube video of me playing bass before) made using the built in camera and mic on a mac. sorry that's all I got. Bass is acoustic. My amp is on the other side of town so if people really wanna hear it through that it may have to wait till the weekend. Wishnevsky Banana Bass Wishbass - YouTube |

I found that a keyboard case will work on one of these, or at least it did on mine. I found a hard shell type case, but they sell soft cases that will work too, so there should be no fear of not finding something. Keyboard cases comes in all kind of sizes so you just have to look around. Mine was a pawn shop find in Albuquerque, NM for $50 = priceless! I've heard too that the tone on this Banana is really good!
