I think that this bass is an '83 but, not for sure.
Sounds great and functions perfectly.
Bridge is not original and pickup was replaced with an EMG. I do not have the originals.
May have been refinished. I don't think that Yamaha had an army green even in the 80's.
Recent setup with fret polishing, intonation set and thorough fretboard cleaning/oiling. Brand new SIT Silencers.
Has a super straight neck and is set up with low action (I can crank it up a bit if you prefer).
Weighs about 8 or 9 lbs.
Comes with a beat up gig bag that still functions.
Let me know if you have any questions. I don't know too much about older Yamahas though.
