FS/FT: Yamaha BBG5 5 string

I'm selling this extremely easy playing, great sounding Yamaha 5 string. It has been modded/upgraded with a push-pull volume pot, for series/parallel wiring, a PU selector switch has been added (the middle pot was formerly the pickup blend control), and an EMG EXB curcuit has been added. The EXB, as you turn the knob, scoops the mids, and boosts the highs & lows, quite the tone for slappers! The bridge has had slots milled into it, for easier string changes. The neck has been modified, attached to the body with 1/4-20 machine screws, and threaded inserts, so that this bass reacts more like a neck-through, than a bolt-on.
<p>

The action is extremely sweet, set up for me & my bad wrists.

<p>

I would trade this, for a Peavey TL-5 ONLY. NOTHING ELSE!!
<p>

Thanks, for looking. $400+shipping.

That wiring looks super clean! Have you ever had problems with the ball end of the strings riding up the milled slots?

Thank you, on the wiring!

Nope. The slots are aftermarket, the string balls still sit in the counterbore of the holes.

I'd have liked to mill narrower slots for the ADG strings, but didn't have a small enough diameter mill, at the time.

What really makes this bass spectacular, IMO, is the neck mounting with threaded inserts & machine screws.
