FS or FT: Yamaha TRB5-2 and a fender copy Price Update

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello.

Up for sales is my Yamaha TRB5-2 and a Fender copy.

1. The Yamaha is a pretty solid bass with plenty of mids and lows suitable for most genres. I've used it for about 2 years and I was totally satisfied with it. It's got the stock Yamaha PUs and Pre-AMP. If you're interested in the specs and reviews here is the link.

http://www.bgra.net/reviews/yamaha-trb5-rvw.html

These Japanese TRBs are becoming a rare commodity, and are much better than the recent, Taiwan made TRBs.
Being a few years old and all, it's got a few minor scratches on the body, minor nicks on the head, and a small chip on the back near the control cavity.

Here are the pics

You'll have to browse through the album

The Bass will ship to your door at $450.

2. SOLD The Fender Copy was put together using a Mighty Mite neck and an unknown body and electronics.
The quality of this instrument would probably be that of a Squire. It should be pretty good for practice.
Cosmetically, it's got a scratch on the body in the front, but nothing major elsewhere.

The pics are in the same album as above.

Will be Shipped to you at SOLD

I'd much rather prefer cash, but possible trade for the TRB might be: Lakland 55-01(Maple neck), a Fender American Jazz (I will add cash of course.)

Help me out here Guys!... I am open to offers

Thanks for your interest

cheers. i like the Mighty Mite necks too! If you figure that the neck alone would cost you ~$100 shipped, that's a solid deal.

that TRB is almost too good of deal to pass up on, but I have to =p. Someone buy it, it easily compares to instruments 4-5+ times the cost.

not to detract but...

who is that chick dancing in Z4NC's avatar. Ive got another angle of what I think is the same babe, same outfit, same dance step (rearview of her) she is so HOT, who is that(?). Sorry just back from a gig, alot hot women at club tonite so they are on my mind. Back to business, I dont know the Yamaha tone but I do have a pristine nat/maple -01 w/ cherry/black tort pg for sale on CL and bassgear.com. I bought it new from BassCentral a couple years ago but its worth more than $450, to me anyway. So whats the attraction of the TRB's tonewise? More modern, jazzy, rock-ish,P-bass, what? I just got a used 55-02 so the -01 is staying unplayed now.
