SOLD

I'm selling my Yamaha TRBII 6 string bass. I bought it used in Mobile, AL. The is the model right after the TRBI. This bass is made in Japan like the original TRB's and not in Korea like the TRB1006s. This bass is in perfect condition with action insanely low. The only blemishes with the bass is 2 small holes I had to filll that I drilled to install an aftermarket preamp with switches. After having everything in I realize that the volume was way too low. The reason being, in order to install an aftermarket pre in these basses, you need to replicate the buffer that is in the stock preamp. I have the wiring diagram and intended to do this but I just couldn't understand circuit theory anymore. I took it in college but I couldn't recall a thing. Therefore, I had to install the stock preamp which probably sounds better anyway. I have the original Yamaha knobs if you won't them. Also, the center indent is sort of gone on the pots but you can still feel it. A very minor problem but I thought I should let you know. They aren't scratchy or noisy. Other than the filled screw holes, the bass is in great condition. It is a 12 yr old bass so if you find a small dent that I missed then I'm sorry in advance. But I looked all over it and couldn't find anymore. Because of the screw holes, I'm letting this bass go at a discouted price. I am selling it for $750 including shipping to CONUS. It will ship in a gig bag sercurely packed inside a shipping box.

The only trades I'll consider are the following. I will add money if need be.

Fender Jazz Deluxe 5 (MIA)
MTD Z5 (preferrably upgraded)
Lakland 55-02
Rosco

Still up for sale but maybe not for long. Played it this morning and I just can't get over the feel of the bass and the low action with the fret buzz. Also, the tone is very nice. I may be changing my mind about this.

Glokenlang. The original pre is back in because I couldn't replicate the buffer. My circuit theory wasn't strong enough to do it.

Price drop to $695 includding shipping to CONUS. Thinking about having it refinished or doing it my self. Seach the thread for a guy that refinished his Yamaha. It looks awesome.
