FS - G&L ASAT 4 string, custom red sparkle / ebony

Sign in to disble this ad
G&L ASAT 4 string in a custom red metalflake finish with ebony jazz width neck. I took this bass on trade a few years ago and have played it very little since moving to 5-string with my current band.

Strung with rounds, medium low action. One minor pressure dent on the top rear of the neck near the 5th fret. Pictured to the right of my finger in the photo. Very minor and doesn't affect playability at all.

Comes with G&L hardcase. $950 shipped in the lower 48

More high res pics available on request.

Is that an aftermarket pickguard? I've never seen an ASAT with one before...

I honestly don't know if it's aftermarket. I took the bass in trade, and don't know the history of it. The sparkle finish is some seriously huge metalflake. Think bass-boat or bowling ball, and you'll be right in the ballpark. You'll surely stand out on stage when playing this one.

Really need to thin down and get cash. The only trades I'd be interested in are a Warwick 5 string or Spector 5 string.

it does look a lot like a bass boat huh?
I have seen some funky G&L Sparkle finishes on some of their ASAT and comanche Guitars...But not on the many basses.
Wondering if this is a factory finish or if someone sprayed it aftermarket? My Guess is factory.

The pickguard looks cool on it ....great looking retro look to it.
Good luck with the sale.

Bump. Confirmed via the G&L website that this is a factory color. Bring me a reasonable offer and let's find this awesome bass a new home.

Bump for the weekend. Bring me an offer. If you have never played a G&L, you'll be amazed at the tonal range you can get with the two humbuckers.

Bump for a price drop. An amazing price for a US-made G&L with a custom finish, ebony board, and fast jazz width neck.
